Are you smarter than a 5th Grader?

This is a new game show, which tests you questions taken from standard elementary school textbooks, two from each grade level from first to fifth. Sounds easy?

Then try this question: What is the smallest ocean? If you answered the Arctic Ocean, you’re right. So are you a smarter than a fifth grader?

The show features 5 fifth graders, Darcy, Sam, Callum, Moya and Max, between the age of 10 and 11. Contestants (an adult) answers the questions and hope they can remember their school stuff. If, at any point during the game, the contestant chooses to drop out, or is flunked out, they must face the camera and state, “I am not smarter than a fifth grader.”

We were bored in S&E class today so we did a mini test to see which fifth grader we’re most compatible with, based on their interests and skills (and hopefully beat them):

  • Callum: Loves music, Art and he’s unbeatable in Maths. Most likely beatable by Michelle.
  • Moya: Loves Swimming, Maths and she’s unbeatable in English. Most likely beatable by Felicia.
  • Sam: Loves Footy, Maths and he’s unbeatable in Science. Most likely beatable by no one. Are you smarter than Sam?
  • Max: Loves English, Basketball and he’s unbeatable in History. Most likely beatable by me! You’re going down!
  • Darcy: Loves Dancing, Science and she’s unbeatable in English. Most likely beatable by no one. Are you smarter than Darcy?

    Hi I would just like to say that how did that women mangage to flunk out that sentence was not correct any normal australian would have said “i” not “me” its more normal.. Eg Darcy Max and “I” were talking to Moya.. I just do not see it being Darcy Max And “me” it does not sound right..

    Duh brains, it’s so obvious that it’s Darcy said to max and me. Split it into 2 sentences, geniuses. Darcy said to Max. Darcy said to me. Ae voila.

    To Natasha: It works that way, and not the other. Darcy was talking to moya. Max was talking to moya. I was talking to moya. Now it you put Darcy max and me were talking to moya, that would not make sense because me was talking to moya does not make sense. Split it up, kids. What do they teach you in school nowadays?
